SUNDAY JAZZ WITH THE SUN STREET STOMPERS
Here at The Robert Gillow we are pleased to offer you a afternoon of jazz.
We welcome guest artists from all over Lancashire to our Sunday lunch time sessions. We have even had a guest artist from Norway join us with his trombone. We have guest singers from far and wide not only to perform but also to enjoy our fine beers, wine and good food.

THE SUN STREET STOMPERS
The Sun Street Stompers are a traditional jazz band who play every Sunday lunchtime at the Robert Gillow pub in Lancaster. The session starts around 12 and lasts till 3pm.
The Sun Street Stompers moved here on the 13th Jan 2008, after playing at the John O'Gaunt for twenty three years.
The sessions were started by Barrie Marshall, basically just as a Sunday band for fun rather than as a working band. Word is also spread that any jazz musician would be welcome to sit in and play with them.

THE ROBERT GILLOW
The Robert Gillow is more than just a pub for established muscians, it is a pub for anyone who wants a pint and to feel comfortable enough to show their love of music. With an open mic night on the second Wednesday of every month, it is the place to come to truly let your creativity run free. The Robert Gillow is a pub of the people, a pub to visit with your mates, to sit and have a beautiful real ale pint, good filling food and a comfortable real pub atmosphere.
